Eligibility & Selection
Applicants should demonstrate leadership, creativity, and tangible results in fighting food insecurity. Award Details
Awarded recognition combines individual scholarship funding with support for the recipient’s hunger-relief organization. Award Value: National scholars receive a $10,000 academic scholarship and a $5,000 grant for their hunger-relief charity; recipients attend the Sodexo Charity Classic to connect with supporters.

History of the Award
Since its launch in 2007, the Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship has recognized dozens of young leaders and invested in youth-led hunger relief. To date the program has honored 91 national scholars and 252 Emerging Leaders, distributing more than $1.2 million in scholarships and grants. The scholarship is named for the Foundation’s founder and former president, Stephen J. Brady, who championed efforts to end hunger. The program continues to elevate youth-driven solutions and community engagement.
