About the scholarship name
The award honors the memory of Julian Hester, a longtime community banker and CBA Chief Executive Officer, and his daughter Jan Hester. Jan was a senior at the University of Georgia and died in an automobile accident on April 15, 1990. Beyond supporting community banking, the scholarship seeks to carry forward the positive attributes both Julian and Jan exemplified for future generations.
