New Jersey Part-Time Tuition Aid Grant

The County College Part-Time TAG Program offers financial assistance to qualifying students who are enrolled for 6-11 credits. The grant amount awarded to each student is determined by their financial need, the cost of their education, and the funds available.
Criteria for Qualification
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
A) Possess a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent
B) Show evidence of financial need
C) Be a citizen, a qualifying non-citizen, or eligible to submit the NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application
D) Have been a New Jersey resident for a minimum of 12 consecutive months immediately before enrollment
E) Be registered with the Selective Service (if applicable)
F) Maintain a satisfactory academic record
G) Be a full-time undergraduate student in an approved degree or certificate program
Applicants are disqualified if:
A) They already hold a bachelor's or associate's degree and are enrolled at a two-year college
B) They have already received the maximum number of grant payments allowed
C) They are required to refund a Federal or State grant
D) They have defaulted on a Federal or State loan
E) They are enrolled in a program that leads to a degree in theology or divinity
Application Process
Students who wish to be considered for a TAG grant must complete either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application. They must also answer the additional New Jersey State Questions and submit their application within the state's specified deadlines*.
