Who is eligible
Applicants must be female NSPE Members or Student Members who:
- Are U.S. citizens;
- Are enrolled in a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program; and
- Are entering or continuing into their junior year.
How applications are judged
Submissions will be assessed using the following factors:
- Grade point average;
- Internship or co-op experience and participation in other extracurricular or professional activities;
- Two recommendations from faculty members who have taught the applicant;
- Honors, scholarships, or awards received beginning in the applicant’s high school senior year; and
- A concise essay (maximum 500 words) on "Engineering Career Goals & Aspirations to Achieve Them."
Required materials
Your application must include:
- A completed application form that displays your NSPE Student Member number;
- An up-to-date academic transcript;
- A resume or summary outlining internship/co-op experiences and other activities (optional supervisor recommendations may be added for further consideration);
- Two faculty recommendations from instructors who have taught you; and
- A 500-word (maximum) essay on "Engineering Career Goals & Aspirations to Achieve Them."
Make sure all items are submitted by the 4/15/2026 deadline.
