Important USPS Note
Changes to USPS procedures mean a postmark may show the date a piece of mail left a postal facility rather than the date it was mailed. To avoid any delivery/postmark uncertainty, we strongly recommend emailing your application.
For Participating Stations
Since February 2003, Massachusetts stations have been invited to participate in the statewide, station/association-funded MBA Student Broadcaster Scholarship Program. The program awards qualified students $2,500 toward an over-the-air broadcasting degree and both supports future broadcast talent and provides stations with a reliable program to satisfy EEO participation.
To earn one full EEO credit, a participating Massachusetts nonexempt radio or television station must:
1. Contribute the required financial amount to the MBA Student Broadcaster Scholarship Program (see the radio or TV station agreement).
2. Promote the program through public service announcements, station websites, social media, in-house bulletin boards, and similar channels.
3. Distribute and collect completed scholarship applications (interactive PDF).
4. Take part in the scholarship evaluation process.
Station deadline: March 20 (please refer to program materials for any applicable year-specific details).
