Intertech Foundation STEM Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Intertech Foundation
The Intertech Foundation’s STEM Scholarships are designed to inspire young people and help them develop skills in science, engineering, and technology. If you have performed strongly in math and science, will graduate from high school in spring 2025, and plan to begin college-level computer science studies in fall 2025, you are encouraged to apply for the Intertech STEM Scholarship.
Scholarship award
- One-time, non-renewable award of $2,500 for a single academic year.
- Available to high school seniors who will begin college in fall 2025.
Eligibility requirements
To qualify, an applicant must:
- Hold a cumulative high school GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Intend to pursue a college program in computer science.
- Be a high school graduate in spring 2025 and be accepted to or enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university by August 31, 2025.
How to apply
Use the online application form to upload the following materials:
- A copy of your official high school transcript (a transcript copy is acceptable given timing and COVID-related office hour limitations at many schools).
- A resume outlining paid employment, volunteer service, and extracurricular involvement.
- Two letters of recommendation, one of which should come from a math or science teacher who knows you well.
- A copy of your official college or university acceptance letter (submitting this is optional with your application but it must be provided before the first scholarship payment is made).
- A 350–500 word essay that addresses both: (1) how current computer software has affected your life, and (2) one or more ways you would improve that software.
If you meet the criteria above and plan to study computer science in fall 2025, please complete the online submission with the required documents.
