About BNSF
Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) is a major freight railroad in North America. The company operates roughly 32,500 route miles of track across 28 U.S. states and maintains operations in three Canadian provinces. BNSF moves large volumes of consumer goods, grain and other agricultural commodities, low-sulfur coal, and industrial products such as petroleum, chemicals, building materials, food, and beverages. These shipments support the daily needs of homes and businesses across the continent. BNSF and its workforce have built one of the industry’s most technologically advanced and efficient rail systems, and the company continually seeks to enhance the safety, service, energy efficiency, and environmental benefits it delivers to customers and the communities it serves.
