Jack and Marci McMicken Scholarship

This scholarship is exclusively for members or their immediate family members of the Amarillo Bowling Association, Amarillo Women’s Bowling Association, and Amarillo Young Bowling Alliance. Please note that the AAF general application is not applicable for this scholarship.

Applicable to: High School students
The Amarillo Bowling Association established this scholarship in honor of Jack L. and Marci McMicken, in recognition of their passion, commitment, and efforts in advancing the sport of bowling.
Qualifications
- The applicant should be a high school senior;
- Membership or immediate family membership in the Amarillo Bowling Association, Amarillo Women's Bowling Association, or Amarillo Young American Bowling Association is required;
- The applicant should exhibit academic merit, financial need, and consistent attendance; and
- A recommendation from a high school counselor or teacher is necessary.

Selection of Awardee
An external Scholarship Selection Committee will make the decision
Scholarship Value
The amount varies each year (usually at least $500/semester for up to two semesters)
Conditions for Scholarship
The following conditions must be met for each semester's payment:
- The recipient must enroll in college in the fall semester immediately after being selected;
- Full-time student status (usually 12 credit hours/semester for undergraduate studies) must be maintained;
- The recipient must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher while in college; and
- The recipient can attend any accredited college/university and choose any major.
