Jeff Reedy Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation
The Jeff Reedy Memorial Scholarship Fund was created to honor the memory of Jeffrey B. Reedy by supporting graduating seniors in the Central Michigan area who intend to pursue careers in business.
About Jeffrey B. Reedy
Jeff died on January 19, 2003, as the result of a snowmobile accident. A graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, he attended Central Michigan University but was unable to complete his degree because of family financial responsibilities. In recognition of his work ethic and the importance he placed on providing for his family, his relatives established this scholarship to commemorate his life. Jeff spent 20 years as the owner-operator of Crawford Contracting, Inc., in Alma. He combined a sharp business sense with a warm commitment to family and friends. Outside of work he enjoyed drag racing, snowmobiling, golf, hunting and time with his grandchildren.
Since 2004, proceeds from the Jeff Reedy Memorial Golf Outing have helped fund the scholarship. The Reedy family’s goal is to assist students as they begin meaningful and rewarding careers in business. This fund will continue to award scholarships in Jeff’s memory.
