Overview
The Jack F. and Edith Updyke Harmon Scholarship was created in 2007 by Edith Updyke Harmon to honor the memory of her husband, Jack. It supports students from several high schools serving the Bristol (TN and VA), Blountville (TN), and Bland (VA) areas.
Award
Recipients receive $15,000 each year for up to four years of undergraduate study.
Who is eligible
Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who demonstrate financial need and have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Eligible high schools are:
- Tennessee High School (Bristol, TN)
- West Ridge High School (Blountville, TN)
- Virginia High School (Bristol, VA)
- John S. Battle High School (Bristol, VA)
- Bland High School (Bland, VA)
How to apply
Submit the East Tennessee Foundation Common Application between December 15 and March 15 to determine eligibility for this scholarship and other awards.
