GCSAA Legacy Awards

Overview
The GCSAA Legacy Awards offer $1,500 scholarships to help children and grandchildren of GCSAA members pursue higher education.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a high school senior or currently enrolled at an institution of higher learning.
- A parent or grandparent of the applicant must have been an active GCSAA member in one of these classifications — Class A, B, C, EM, A‑Retired, B‑Retired, or AA — for at least five consecutive years.
- Previous recipients are eligible to apply again after sitting out one year.
- More than one student from the same family may receive an award in the same year.
Award & Deadline
- Scholarship amount: $1,500.
- Annual application deadline: April 15.
- Current application window is open through April 15, 2026.
Selection factors
Applicants are judged based on:
- Academic record.
- Participation in extracurricular activities and community service.
- Leadership experience and outside employment.
Required materials
- An original essay (maximum 500 words) on a topic connected to the golf industry.
- Official transcripts from every high school and college attended.
- High school seniors must include a college acceptance letter.
- Note: Demonstrated financial need is not considered in the selection process.
