AFA National Scholarships

Overview
This scholarship opportunity is for students pursuing studies related to food, agriculture or natural resources in the United States. Awards support both graduating high school seniors and undergraduates and include conference access as described below.
Who is eligible
- Graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students
- Enrolled in (or planning to enroll in) a U.S.-based, agriculture- or food-related degree program at a four-year institution, or intending to complete a four-year degree
- Age 17–25 at the time of the AFA Leaders Conference
- Recommended minimum GPA: 2.5
- Demonstrated interest in food, agriculture and/or natural resources and a plan to pursue a career in those fields
Award details
- Individual awards range from $1,600 to $3,200
- Each scholarship includes admission to the AFA Leaders Conference; travel expenses are not covered
How recipients are chosen
Selections are based on a combination of:
- Career objectives
- Leadership and community involvement
- Financial need
Note: Some scholarships have additional, specific eligibility criteria (for example, residency in a particular community or region) and will be awarded accordingly.
Notification timeline
- Scholarship recipients will be notified in early June
