Basic Eligibility

TCW Collegiate Scholarship: (soph-senior, 3.0 GPA, ag major)

TCW Collegiate CattleWoman Scholarship: (soph-senior, 3.0 GPA, ag major, current TCW member*)

TCW IGOE Collegiate Scholarship: (junior-grad students, 2.5 GPA, any beef-related degree)

Must be a permanent Texas resident to apply for either of the scholarships---

*applicant (not applicant's family member) must be a member of TCW

Additional Eligibility Details:

  • Classification:  Sophomore through Senior level student enrolled in a four-year publicly funded or private college, or university in Texas. Graduate students are eligible for IGOE Collegiate Scholarship.
  • Residence:  Must have graduated from a Texas High School or equivalent in Texas.
  • Majors considered if not in the College of Ag (or their equivalent):  1) Foods and Nutrition, 2) Agricultural Communications, 3) Hotel & Restaurant Management.
  • Grade point average of 3.0 or better.
  • Evidence of potential for continuing education.
  • Financial need.
  • Evidence of being a well-balanced individual, considering physical, mental and social development.  Must have a pleasing personality and the ability to relate well with others.  Must have high moral standards.
  • Must have interest in and will support production and consumption of beef.
  • Participation in student activities and evidence of leadership qualities.
