About the scholarship
The Henri and Lanette Rousseau Memorial Scholarship was created by the late Lanette Rousseau to expand educational opportunities for Humboldt County high school graduates pursuing careers in agriculture, science, education, or vocational training. Henri and Lanette Rousseau were lifelong Farm Bureau members and both served on its Board of Directors. In 1996 the Rousseau Estate established a collaborative program between the Humboldt Area Foundation and the Humboldt County Farm Bureau to administer this scholarship. Multiple awards are made each year, with individual grants ranging from $400 to $1,000. The Humboldt County Farm Bureau and the Humboldt Area Foundation continue to partner on this program.
