NSPS Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by National Society of Professional Surveyors
Annually, the National Society of Professional Surveyors Foundation (NSPSF) provides over $35,000 in scholarships. These funds are generously donated by various individuals, corporations, and groups to promote and assist higher education in the field of geospatial sciences. These scholarships present an excellent opportunity for college students enrolled in surveying, mapping, geographic information systems, and geodetic science programs.
To apply, please ensure the application is filled out legibly, either typed or printed. Only fully completed and signed applications accompanied by all necessary documents will be accepted. The following items should be included with the completed application form:
1. Official copies of your Spring 2024 and Fall 2024 transcripts.
2. Three original, signed recommendation letters from individuals who are not related to you. One of these letters must be from a faculty advisor. All letters should be addressed to the Scholarship Selection Committee at the provided address.
3. A personal letter, not exceeding 850 words on a single-spaced page, addressed to the NSPS Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee. This letter should explain why you chose your current field of study, your commitment to continuing your education beyond your current degree program, your involvement in community and school activities, any awards or honors you've received, your career goals, any significant financial hardships you're facing, and why you believe you should be awarded the scholarship. Please note that letters written using Artificial Intelligence are not acceptable.
4. A photocopy of your driver’s license or other state-issued identification (both front and back).
Additionally, please include a copy of your course syllabus or program course catalog that shows the specific courses or subjects required by the scholarship.
IMPORTANT: ALL APPLICATION MATERIALS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5:00 PM EASTERN ON JANUARY 31, 2025. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
