Macy’s Emergency Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by League of United Latin American Citizens
The Macy’s Emergency Scholarship Fund, a collaborative initiative between LNESC and Macy’s, aims to offer financial aid to deserving students who are grappling with economic difficulties. These financial challenges, if not addressed, could potentially hinder their ability to continue their education or complete their degree program.
Students may qualify for this funding if they are experiencing emergency financial need due to the following circumstances:
- Alteration in family income or support
- Job loss
- Death of a close family member
- Natural calamity
- Imminent eviction or home repossession
- Robbery
- Fire
However, financial emergencies do not include poor financial decisions such as credit card debt, misuse of financial aid, or personal loans to family or friends.
The funds from Macy’s Emergency Scholarship are non-renewable, and applicants must not be beneficiaries of other scholarships from the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC) at the time of application. The amount awarded will vary based on the individual's need, but will not exceed $500.
