Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers

The Charles Butt Scholarship for Aspiring Teachers supports individuals who are either enrolled in — or planning to enroll in — an approved teacher preparation program at a Raising Texas Teachers partner university affiliated with the Charles Butt Foundation.
Eligibility
- Applicants must commit to teaching in the Texas public school system either in a Title I or majority-economically-disadvantaged campus, or in one of the Foundation’s priority subject areas: math, science, special education, or bilingual education.
- Candidates should demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and values listed below. Preference is given to applicants who are Texas residents.
- Prospective recipients may apply in the fall of any year from their senior year of high school through their junior year of college, or before beginning an eligible master’s degree program.
