Atlantic Housing Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Atlantic Housing Foundation
Since 2006, the Atlantic Housing Foundation has provided over $19 million in scholarships for academics and housing, benefiting more than 1,100 students across the United States. Awards are available to students enrolled in accredited colleges, technical schools, or certification programs — including GED preparation, vocational-technical courses, and licensing classes such as cosmetology, bookkeeping, welding, real estate, and similar programs. Eligibility overview While individual scholarships may have slightly different rules, most applicants must satisfy the following core criteria: - U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status. - Enrollment (or intent to enroll) as a full‑time student at an accredited institution: four‑year university, two‑year college, technical school, or an accredited certification program (examples: GED, Vo‑Tech, cosmetology, bookkeeping, welding, real estate licensing). - A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. - Demonstrable financial need, documented by materials such as tax returns or family income records. - Completion of 40 hours of nonprofit/community service before applying — or a clear demonstrated commitment to community service. - Submission of all required materials: completed application form, official transcripts, an essay outlining educational goals and community impact, letters of recommendation, and documentation verifying enrollment and financial need. Note: Specific award guidelines may vary by scholarship; applicants should review the criteria for each individual scholarship before applying.
