Orth Dermatologics Scholarships

Overview
This scholarship is intended for U.S. citizens receiving treatment for a dermatologic condition who plan to attend post-secondary school during the 2026–2027 academic year. Below are the qualifications and the documentation you must submit.
Who may qualify
- You are a United States citizen residing in the United States.
- At the time you submit your application, you have applied to, been accepted to, or are currently enrolled in an accredited two‑ or four‑year college or university, or an accredited post‑high school vocational or technical program, for the 2026–2027 academic year.
- You have a diagnosed dermatologic condition for which you have received treatment.
- Your treatment has been provided by a dermatologist, or by a physician assistant or nurse practitioner practicing in a dermatology setting.
Application requirements
Your completed application must include all of the following items:
- A personal essay of roughly 500 words written by you that addresses:
- How your diagnosed dermatologic condition has affected your life and personal experiences, and
- The contribution your dermatologist, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner has made in treating and managing your condition.
- Two letters of recommendation plus details about your involvement in school and community activities.
- A completed and signed 2026 Medical Statement Form confirming your dermatologic diagnosis; this must be signed by the treating dermatologist, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner who works in a dermatology practice. (The Medical Statement Form will be available to complete during the online application.)
- At the time you apply, documentation proving you have applied to, been accepted to, or are enrolled in the school for which you are seeking the scholarship.
Additional verification
If you are selected for an award, you will be required to provide proof of admission and documentation showing current enrollment in the institution named on your application before funds are disbursed.
