MBA InternConnect Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Missouri Bankers Association
The MBA InternConnect Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Missouri Bankers Foundation, aims to inspire college sophomores and juniors studying banking-related subjects to consider a career in Missouri's banking sector. Each year, the foundation grants up to five $1,000 MBA InternConnect Scholarships to students who have completed an internship at an MBA-member bank within the past year. To be eligible, applicants must either be a resident of Missouri or enrolled in a Missouri state-accredited college or university, and must have at least a sophomore standing in college. (College seniors intending to pursue graduate studies are also eligible to apply.)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- The applicant must have completed an internship at an MBA-member bank within the past year.
- The applicant must either be a resident of Missouri or enrolled in a Missouri state-accredited college or university.
- The applicant must have at least a sophomore standing in college; college seniors intending to pursue graduate studies may also apply.
REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS
The following materials must be submitted by the applicant for consideration:
- Scholarship application form
- Two letters of recommendation (one of which must be from the student’s internship supervisor at the bank)
- An essay discussing the value of the internship experience, the areas of banking that most interest the student, and the reasons for this interest
- If applicable, the syllabus of the college internship criteria, along with a list of duties performed during the internship
- Current resume
- College transcript
SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA
The selection will be based on the successful completion of an internship at an MBA-member bank. While academic achievement and extracurricular activities will be considered, more emphasis will be placed on the letters of recommendation, the essay, and factors directly related to the banking internship experience. The Missouri Bankers Foundation selection committee will choose the scholarship recipients on a nondiscriminatory basis. The decisions of the selection committee are final and binding.
The scholarship recipients will be notified by December 2025 and their names will be published in The Missouri Banker magazine.
The scholarship funds will be sent directly to the recipient’s college or university.
