Overview
To honor Drummond Woodsum’s 60 years of service to public schools in Maine and New Hampshire, this scholarship is awarded to students preparing for careers in education. Applicants must satisfy all listed requirements.
Eligibility
1) Field of Study
- Must be working toward an Education degree (examples include early childhood, elementary, secondary, or special education) at an accredited college or university.
2) Enrollment Status
- Must be currently enrolled in a Maine or New Hampshire college or university and meet one of the following enrollment levels:
- Full-time: 12 or more credit hours per semester, or
- Part-time: at least 9 credit hours per semester.
3) Educational Background (must meet one)
- A graduating high school senior from a Maine or New Hampshire high school, or
- A high school graduate of a Maine or New Hampshire school within one year of the application date, or
- A current college student attending a Maine or New Hampshire college or university (regardless of high school graduation date), provided they are pursuing an education degree.
