2026 Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association — Scholarship Opportunities

Three distinct scholarship opportunities are available through the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association for 2026. Read each description below carefully to confirm eligibility and application requirements. All application deadlines are June 1, 2026.

General notes
- Awards will be announced at the ACA Annual Convention.
- Applicants must meet the specific residency, enrollment, and membership requirements listed for each scholarship.
- Deadlines for all scholarships: June 1, 2026.

1) Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association Scholarship
- Awards: Two (2) scholarships of $1,000 each.
- Purpose: Support students pursuing an agricultural degree at a postsecondary institution.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be residents of Arkansas and members of the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association.
- Notification and acceptance: Recipients will be notified prior to the convention and are required to attend the ACA Awards Banquet to accept their scholarship in person.
- Deadline to apply: June 1, 2026.

2) Farm Credit Adam McClung Leadership Scholarship
- Awards: Either one (1) $2,000 scholarship or two (2) $1,000 scholarships will be granted at the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association Convention.
- Purpose: Support incoming college students planning to pursue an agriculture-related program, with selection emphasizing leadership and career goals.
- Eligibility: High school seniors who will enroll in an accredited university, college, or trade program in the fall of the award year and who intend to pursue an agriculture-related degree. Applicants must have a home address in Arkansas or have graduated from an Arkansas high school.
- Exclusions: Immediate family members (including children and grandchildren) of current employees or directors of Farm Credit of Western Arkansas, AgHeritage Farm Credit Services, or Farm Credit Midsouth are not eligible.
- Selection criteria: Demonstrated leadership and clarity of future career goals in agriculture.
- Deadline to apply: June 1, 2026.

3) Adam McClung Family & Friends Cattlemen’s Legacy Scholarship
- Award: One (1) $1,000 scholarship presented at the ACA Annual Convention.
- Purpose: Support college sophomores or juniors pursuing an agriculture-related degree.
- Eligibility: Current college sophomores or juniors enrolled in an agriculture-related program. Applicants must have a home address in Arkansas or have graduated from an Arkansas high school. Either the applicant or their immediate family must be members of the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association.
- Deadline to apply: June 1, 2026.
