This scholarship is offered to a student with an interest in employment law, employment policy, or workers' rights in general; or a student who has worked at a nonprofit organization or community group focused on employee rights, such as a legal aid society or labor organization.

Eligible applicants will be students who are currently enrolled in an accredited four-year undergraduate college, or law students at an ABA-approved law school. Applicants are also required to submit a brief personal statement (under 500 words) describing their aspirations related to employment law, policy or workers' rights; and the steps they have taken to work toward achieving their goals. The scholarship will be awarded in September 2019 based on the quality of the personal statement.
