Introduction The College Fund of Pinellas County, Inc. is a volunteer-run, tax-exempt nonprofit dedicated to helping financially disadvantaged residents of Pinellas County who demonstrate strong academic potential but lack the resources to earn a bachelor’s degree. Our goal is to enable students to improve their lives, support their families, and contribute more fully to the community. Award Details - Scholarship amount: $1,200 per year. - Renewal: Recipients may receive up to $4,800 in total support, provided they are selected and continue to meet all renewal conditions (remain academically eligible, continue to be Pell Grant–eligible, and stay enrolled full time with at least 12 credit hours). Funding continues until the $4,800 limit is reached or the student completes a bachelor’s degree, whichever happens first. Important Deadline Apply now. Note about the application platform You will need a Google account to access and submit the application; the form is hosted through Google Forms. Eligibility Requirements To apply, you must meet all of the following: - Be a resident of Pinellas County. - Be a citizen of the United States. - Be eligible to receive a Pell Grant for the upcoming academic year. - Intend to attend a regionally accredited college or university in the upcoming academic year. - Plan to enroll as a full-time student carrying at least 12 credit hours. - Be committed to pursuing a bachelor’s degree. - Have either a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher OR a college GPA of 2.0 or higher. Please read every requirement and question carefully. Failure to provide complete, accurate information will result in automatic disqualification. Incomplete or ineligible applications will not be reviewed. Application Instructions and Required Documents To be considered for an undergraduate scholarship, complete the entire application and upload the following items: - A screenshot from your completed FAFSA showing that you are eligible for a Pell Grant. - Your most recent high school or college transcripts. - Two essay responses (each no more than 400 words). See the essay section of the application for the prompts and details. Important application note: You must finish the application in one sitting. The form cannot be saved and resumed later, so gather all required documents and review the entire application before beginning.
